Soundtrack To The Streets: Part 28

Soundtrack To The Streets is back with a collection of songs from the likes of Rhye, Superhumanoids, Metric and Toronto/Ottawa based band The Balconies. If you’re as big a fan of Toronto’s own Metric as I am, I think you’re really going to like their new song with frontwoman Emily Haines belting out on “Youth Without Youth”. Metric’s new album (5th studio album), ‘Synthetica’ is coming out June 12th, 2012.

Rhye – “Open”

Superhumanoids – “Too Young For Love”

Video: “City On My Fitted”

We launched our “City On My Fitted” video (via @1LOVETO) just in time for the Toronto Blue Jays 2012 home opener. Now that our NEW website is online, we thought we’d share it again just incase you missed it.

About
The symbol on your hat has always had a significance, whether you’re a fan of the team, or simply supporting your city. With that in mind, we decided to show some love for our Toronto Blue Jays (and the city we love), by inviting some of our friends to wear their favorite New Era 59Fifty and/or Snapback hats. This stop-motion video features a variety of logos and designs, including everything from the original Jays logo to the ’92-’93 World Series cap, plus the newly redesigned 2012 official logo.

Covered: “Houstatlantavegas”

Toronto’s music scene is not only gaining popularity across Canada, but it’s making a major impact around the world. For that very reason, we’ve been posting cover songs in our series entitled “Covered”, which highlights and showcases other artists (not necessarily from Toronto) who have been inspired by our cities sound.

This time we’ve selected the sultry sounds of the Boston duo Dane and Anna known as Sonnymoon, who covered Drake’s “Houstatlantavegas”. What do you think?
